Sometimes the Truth Hurts
The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called 'truth'.
-Dan Rather
Families are brutally honest with each other...sometimes to a fault. Though we can't always be as honest with our students in this day and age of hypersensitivity and misinterpretation as we can with our own family, we owe it to them to to be as honest as we can when our intent is to lead them to the next plateau. Among our staff, I have witnessed these types of honest conversations happen a lot. I know that these conversations are always done with the intent of helping our students excel to the high expectations we have for them and the belief that each of you has in them. They can be the best, and you are the main reason why. For that, I thank you!

Classroom Spotlight: Ms. Horigan...Shaping Minds and Clay
Metaphorically, the work going on in Ms. Horigan's ceramics class fits very well with our quote on this installment of the Friday Flash. If you haven't gotten a chance to get out and check out the art room, you should make a visit. Ms. Horigan is creating an environment that stimulates and enhances the creativity of our students while at the same time challenging them to reach inside themselves to channel abilities they may not have know they had. Ask Ms. Horigan about what is going on in her art class...also tell her Happy Birthday today!
