How Can I Help You?
This month I had the opportunity to pull historical fiction books for Ms. Cavanaugh's class, pulling high interest/low reading level books for Mrs. Teed's/ Mr. LaPorte's class, teaching Mrs. Cordero's class how to use Prezi, and teaching Mrs. Teed's class how to use Newsela.
Remember, I am here to support you in any way you need. Email me or stop by the library. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Library Happenings
We also celebrated Banned Book Week! We hosted a variety of events, which included Black Out Poetry and a showing of The Lorax. Did you know that The Lorax was banned in 1989 because it was seen as portraying the foresting industry in an arguably negative way? Some people felt that this book was persuading children against the logging industry.
This month we are looking forward to purchasing new books to add to our collection. We will also be featuring our Graphic Novel collection and Spooky Stories! Graphic novels are a great way to hook reluctant readers. Feel free to bring your class by this month to check take a look.
