#bestatYES Week 13
November 4-8
We had a busy and fun Red Ribbon Week!
Your teachers want you to know...
- Please let your teacher know if you need assistance getting your child a coat
- Please send in headphones (no ear buds) with your child ASAP
Please continue to bring your water bottles every day! It is disruptive to the learning environment when students have to leave the classroom to get drinks!
Please keep in mind that attendance is taken very seriously in Decatur ISD. We encourage you to send your child to school as much as possible. We have classroom/school wide incentives for being at school daily and on time! However, remember that students MUST be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school.
Kindergarten is gladly accepting lysol spray bottles to keep the germs away! Thank you!
Cold weather is upon us! Please make sure your child has the appropriate attire for the weather. Contact your child's teacher if you need assistance with coats, gloves, etc. Also, please work with your child on becoming independent on putting on their coats and zipping. While we do love helping out we can get out to recess and dismissal much faster if the kiddos are independent!

Rann, Young and Carson Elementary have partnered together to present our very first "Parent Café." The purpose of the event is to connect families in need with community partners, who can provide assistance. The event will be hosted at Rann Elementary on November 5th from 6:00-6:45 PM. There will be food served, childcare and lots of helpful information. Thank you to the elementary school counselors for coordinating this event.
