Welcome to Grade One!

Grade One (Room 130)

I am excited to be working with your son or daughter this year as he/she learns, grows socially, emotionally and academically. When we work as a team, there is no issue that can not go unsolved. I believe that open communication is the key. You can contact me anytime through e-mail or leave a message in my voice mail at school. I prefer e-mail (see the end of the flyer) as I can answer you after school hours if needed. This web 2.o tool is called smore and I will be sending you a smore each tern. It will feature what is happening in the classroom, the curriculum focus, and information on specific topics related to your child's education. I will add videos and links to educational articles or research that will help you support the learning in the classroom. I am using this tool instead of using a website. The great thing about this tool is that I can send it by e-mail or print it off for those parents who do not have an e-mail. This will reduce the use of paper and you will have access to the smore for the whole year from anywhere you have an internet connection. This year we have a twitter account @Muir_MrsCraig. I tweet out something that is happening in class.
Below you will find links to information on Self-Regulation skills. I will be working on these skills with your child this year.
