Technologies used of the time
Christiaan Huygens was a leading scientist of his time. He used a telescope for his discoveries. Other times he used his eyes to observe.
Contributions Huygens made to understand the solar system
Huygens also had three theories focused on light but his third theory was the one which proved most important. Huygens proposed that light travelled in waves and from this calculated the laws of reflection and refraction. Huygens discovered the shape of Saturn's rings and drew the first map of Mars. One day Huygens saw a moon orbiting Saturn so he called it Titan. Huygens made it easier for the future scientists because there could be more extra terrestrial
