Second Amendment in full context.

A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Description of the Amendment.

Private gun ownership has been part of the American culture since Great Britain sent settlers to North America in the early 1600's. It was the British policy not to allow settlers to keep firearms.

Amendment in My own words.

The colonist are allowed to keep fire arms for protection.

Supreme Court Case Name & Year

United States vs Lopez, 1995.

Brief Explanation.

The Supreme court said that Congress had gone too far enforcing the no guns in school law.

Court's Decision.

They gave the responsibility to the states, because they felt that Congress had too much power.
