COVID-19 Related Temporary Remote Learning Plans
Temporary remote learning will be available for students in grades if the school confirms that they are advised to quarantine according to public health guidelines or if they test positive for COVID-19.
Each school will have a process for sharing assignments with students who are advised to quarantine due to close contact of a person who tests positive for COVID19 and/or login information for livestream video. There will be a waiting period of 1-3 days (depending on circumstances) to begin live temporary remote learning so that teachers can properly prepare for students to join their classes remotely.
Temporary remote learning will not be available for any reason other than close contact or a positive COVID-19 test.
Students who are out sick with COVID-19 symptoms but do not yet have test results or have been directed by the school to quarantine will not have access to live remote learning. Temporary live remote learning will also not be available for students who are home sick for non-COVID reasons, for students who travel, or for any other reason.
For example, if a family travels to Florida, they would need to quarantine when they return to NJ and students would NOT have access to live remote learning.
As always, families may request learning materials be sent home by the teacher. Please be mindful that teachers have minimal down time during the school day. If they are notified that a child will be out on Day A, the work may not be accessible until Day B.

We continue to work on the following with our students and ask that you also remind them of these important actions.
- Students must clean up their area after lunch.
- Our K and 1 students need assistance locating and identifying their lunch bags and drink bottles.
Please ensure that your child's name is clearly labeled on their lunch bag, drink bottles, and any other items they bring to school. It would also be helpful to ensure that your child knows what their items look like.

September 2021
Dear Parent,
The New Jersey Department of Education requires that school districts communicate yearly with parents regarding the Family Life Curriculum to be taught in schools. The Cherry Hill Public Schools Family Life Curriculum will be taught during the 2021-2022 school year. The curriculum is delivered with fidelity following the New Jersey Student Learning Standards while meeting the needs of Cherry Hill Public Schools families. The presentations with parent(s) and their 4th grade girl and 5th grade boy on puberty are in addition to the Family Life Curriculum (FLC) class lessons.
Approved by the Board of Education, the FLC provides our students with information in the context of a nurturing, respectful environment, which acknowledges individual and family differences in terms of moral and religious beliefs. This information includes teaching students anatomically correct names for body parts, discussing different types of families and healthy habits in a developmentally, age appropriate context.
The current FLC is available in Rubicon Atlas (the district’s curriculum platform). A link to Rubicon Atlas is available on the district homepage www.chclc.org by clicking on the Academics tab, then Curriculum. Rubicon Atlas shows all resources, materials and standards that are taught.
Accordingly, please be advised that the law allows for any parent who believes the FLC instruction is in conflict with their beliefs to opt out of any portion of the course without penalty. To opt out of FLC, contact your building principal or nurse.
If you have any additional questions regarding FLC please contact your building principal or school nurse.
