Week 15: December 6-10

This Week's Special Events

Canned Food, Water, Cards, and Coins

Hello Rayzor family!

My class has been working on a class challenge since the beginning of August. (We have worked through the Challenge Based Learning framework in baby steps) To begin, we read books and thought about some challenges that face our community and from there the students took ideas and created projects. They created these and have worked entirely on their own! I am so proud of their kind hearts!! We have 4 different projects related to our challenge of spreading kindness to our community. Please share these videos with your class and encourage them to help us out. Thank you!

Friday-Sunday:

While you are spending time together, connect what we are learning at school to the real world. Notice and discuss changes in the sky, in the trees, and in the weather. Notice and discuss math in real life situations. Read together. When watching movies, discuss the theme, the life lesson. Notice interesting words and figurative language. Learning isn't meant to be isolated to the classroom. Learning is being engaged in the moment, noticing, wondering, and investigating.
