Muscular System Definition
Is an organ system consisting of skeletal, smooth and cardiac muscles, the muscular system permit movement of your body, maintains posture, and circular blood throughout the body. More than 50% of body weight is muscle.
Muscle is a soft tissue in the body of humans and animals. Its main purpose is to produce force and motion.
Cardiac
cardiac: Cardiac muscle cells are located in the walls of the heart, appear striated, and are under involuntary control.
Smooth
smooth:Smooth muscle fibers are located in walls of hollow visceral organs, except the heart, appear spindle-shaped, and are also under involuntary control.
Skeletal
skeletal:Skeletal muscle fibers occur in muscles which are attached to the skeleton. They are striated in appearance and are under voluntary control.
