Attendance Counts

School starts at 9:00 a.m. We have a number of students arriving late to campus, which is putting them in jeopardy of being too late to get counted present. Attendance is a large factor in receiving high school credit. State attendance law sets the expectation of 90% mandatory attendance and a 70% mastery of the content in order to get credit for the class. If either one of these criteria is not met, a student will not receive credit.

Check your child's HAC account for both his/her attendance and grades once a week. If you need attendance support, contact Vivian Stewart-Juarez. She is our attendance administrator. Her email is

Bathroom Update

There have been a lot of concerns about the bathrooms this school year. It began with the TikTok challenge with the start of school. The challenge in September was focused on destruction of a public restroom. This trend has continued into October. We are working hard as a staff to monitor the bathrooms more closely. Today, we implemented a new plan for monitoring the bathrooms.

Please talk with your child(ren) about reporting incidences they witness on campus. We are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy campus for our Rams.

Construction Update

We are getting close to the opening of the Marshall/LMS addition. With the opening of this addition, we will also have a large designated parent drop off/pick up lane. More to come in next week's newsletter.
