Personalizing Outlook in Office 365

Last week you had the opportunity to explore Outlook through the web based version of Office 365 and the desktop application, Office 2016. This week, I wanted to share a few more helpful tips on how to personalize your Outlook in Office 365.

Once you are logged into Office 365, you can click on the settings wheel which will allow you to access the settings menu.

Microsoft Word in Office 2016

Word 2016 has some new and improved features including greater interactivity and collaboration.

Microsoft Word in Office 365

One of the major differences between working in Word online through Office 365 and working on the installed desktop Word 2016 application are the features that are available. When working in Word online through Office 365 (top picture) there are limited features available such as those reflected in the screen capture shown below. As you will see in the Word 2016 desktop application shown in the bottom picture you have the full capabilities and menu items such as Design, References, and Mailings.
