Immunizations and physicals are available in six of our elementary schools!

Note the following:

  • This opportunity is available for any SMSD student.
  • There are two difference documents (distribute both):
  • Health Partnership Clinic of Johnson County
  • Johnson County Department of Health and Environment
  • Both sites will provide immunizations and physicals for students from undocumented families

SCRIP Cards

We still have SCRIP gift cards available for sale before the end of the school year. I can also place orders and get the order back to you before the last day of school.

Perfect for stocking up for the summer! Also, great ideas for teacher gifts, graduation gifts, birthday gifts, etc.

Staff members qualifying for PTA Staff Grants:

There IS still time to use SCRIP for your staff grant.

*Please submit orders to me by Monday, May 16th.

3rd Grade Butterfly Release

3rd Graders are anxiously observing Painted Lady Caterpillars this past week. The first cup should be moving into the chrysalis phase in a few days!

The butterflies were released on Tuesday. Our "babies" are free and enjoying the honeysuckle bush! What a beautiful insect that goes through such an amazing metamorphosis. The 3rd graders will miss watching their beautiful transformation!
