Creative Assignments for Independent Reading

Having difficulty assessing independent reading? In my classroom I know my students often felt bogged down when I assigned the same reading log or book report. This post by Heather Miller shares some creative ideas to help motivate children to independently read.

Random Acts of Kindness Day

Random Acts of Kindness Day is on February 17th. This is a great time for quality character education with your students. The link below will take you to the Random Acts of Kindness website which has tons of great resources with lesson ideas, calendars and inspirational posters for both elementary and upper level students.

*There are some awesome webinar links above. Some of you have asked about a way to watch the webinars if you aren't able to join at that time. I haven't found a way to watch the ZOOM mtg webinars later yet, but if you register for the Multitiered Systems of Support webinar on February 7th you will be able to watch a recording the day after the live presentation. Thanks!
