What's Buzzin' at Bryant
Week of August 21, 2023
A Message from Mrs. Johnson
Hello Bryant families,
What a wonderful first week of school! It was so great to have the students back on campus. Our 1st - 6th graders got right back into the swing of things. Bryant's new Terrific TKs and Kind Kinders learned the- routine quickly. By Wednesday they were putting up their backpack in the morning and heading to the playground with ease.
Last week, some teachers may have sent home instructions on how to connect to their class communication system (Class Dojo, Class Remind, etc.). Please be sure to join. Your classroom teacher will keep you up to date on the latest classroom announcements. I know at times you may have a question for the teacher regarding work or how your child is doing for the day. Teachers may not respond to messages sent until after school as they are working with teaching and working with students during the school day. If you have important messages such as a change in who will be picking your child up from school or a reminder that your child may not be going to HEARTS for the day, please call the main office. The front office staff will make sure the teacher receives the message in a timely manner.
Lastly, our area is predicted to have heavy wind and rain on Monday. SCHOOL WILL BE IN SESSION. Please be sure your little one is at school, on time, ready to learn.
As always, thank you so much for being such wonderful partners. We are here for you and your child! Have a fantastic week!

- The Adult Volunteer Participation process is a 4-6 week process (may be longer if there is a fingerprint processing delay).
- Be sure to inform staff of the timeline to acquire clearance for scheduled events and field trips.
- All chaperones, no matter the duration of the field trip or school event, must be fingerprinted and complete the process
Volunteer clearance renewal:
- To complete the renewal process (volunteers previously cleared during the 2022-2023 school year) all volunteers are required to complete the annual online volunteer training and confirmation form

Parking in the Community
The safety of our students and families is our first priority. DO NOT stop your car in the middle of the street and let your child to get out or stop to load children into the car. Although we plead with parents/guardians not to do this, it is a practice we observe every day. This practice is very unsafe. The extra five or 10 minutes it will take drop your children off or pick them up is worth their safety and the safety of all other Bryant community members. Lastly, please do not block cross walks when parking. Doing this impacts the ability of children to safely cross the street.
Drivers will be responsible for any parking tickets or moving voiolations that are issued by RPD or parking enforcement. This is not the responsibility of the school site or the school district. Thank you in advance for considering the safety of our students.
