I share these because as I reviewed them, I realized that our job truly is to light a fire within, nothing in the definition depicts the pouring of knowledge into an empty vessel. It is through an educator's approach that learning occurs. I believe it takes a mix of hope, wisdom, understanding, patience, skill, listening, observing, setting expectations, modeling, and above all connection. Because we believe we are educating the whole child, we must use each of these attributes in their own way and in their own time. For this reason, our supports may look different for each child. We work to provide a variety of methods in the right way and at the right time. Below you will see some of these described. It is our passion and hope that through our methods we can develop your child into a life long learner who recognizes he/she has a gift to offer the world.
