The Holocaust

What is the Holocaust?
The Holocaust is an terrible event that happened in the early 1900's. Adolf Hitler started concentration camps to torture Jews from Europe. Concentration camps were an integral feature of the regime in Nazi Germany between 1933 and 1945. They are also known as death camps because from an estimation of 9.5 million Jews living in Europe before the war, about 6 million were dead after the war. The Jews that worked in the concentration camps had to wear the Star of David to show their religion. The Holocaust is an event that should never be forgotten or forgiven.
