If you find yourself overwhelmed with making lifestyle changes, there is room for Grace on the journey. A lifestyle is really a lot of little choices that add up over time.
But we need to start somewhere.
Regarding exercise. What's the best kind?
The kind you actually do!
Exercise does something for the body that nothing else can do. It actually gives your body a chance to heal itself.
Exercise helps lower high blood pressure and high cholesterol and releases natural anti-depressants and pain relievers. Exercise also reduces inflammation which is being discovered as the cause of many major diseases.
How can you make moving part of your lifestyle? Can you...meet at a park for a picnic and a basketball game rather than meet other families "out to eat"? Can you...go to the climbing gym with your friends instead of getting frozen yogurt? Can you find some friends and start training for a fun race somewhere? Or making walks with the family after dinner a habit? We all come from different settings and situations, so this won't look the same for everyone.
