CELEBRATE MULTIPLE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES!
Celebrate Leadership Rush
STAFF ONLY:
Sac State Observation: Pirates! We will have 20 visitors on Mon to take in all that we do on the daily. They'll be visiting a few of our classes to observe lesson planning and instruction and debrief with a small team. HOW RAD is it that we get to play a part in learning process for teachers new to the profession.
Spirit Week: It's spirit week this week! Get ready to rock and roll! Remember to HAVE FUN with this and give friendly reminders of appropriate clothing choices. Your calendar item has details on dress up days.
Conference Letters: Report card week is this week and conference week is next week! A few reminders: 1) grades must be posted by 4:00pm 9/20, 2) conference schedules need to go to Anzelc (please also mark attendance), 3) if there are any students of concern - their conference time needs to be communicated to LA, Jon or T so they can figure out attendance, and 4) students with an IEP - conference schedules need to be communicated with Walker. Woot! TEAM WORK!
Treasure Run Info: PUMP up our Treasure Run! Get your spirit outfits READY! Continue collecting $$$. All funds raised need to be marked/labeled with your name and turned into Giao as you receive it. A reminder of class colors for you and all of our students outfit coordination: 6th/orange, 7th/white and 8th/black! See this doc for info: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ONK6mVRDM6RnYmt9tLBx6db6DF3XZzdqxckV9SCjUE4/edit
Long Advisory: There will be an all Advisory/no enrichment on 9/21 to support SLC planning. Goooo student-led conferences!
SBAC Emails: You should have received an email regarding creating an account for TOMS. Your TOMS account is used for SBAC administration in April. Please keep this information somewhere safe.
Box Top Competition Teacher Info: As students bring the box tops in, please label them and turn them into Giao. She will keep track of them.
PARENTS & FAMILIES:
- Board Candidates Forum: As election day nears, you are invited to hear from NUSD Board candidates at a forum sponsored by students from local charter schools. The event will be held Sep 25. - Academic Communication: We care about you being informed and having access to your student's progress! Are you receiving weekly grade checks every Monday? Are you able to log into Infinite Campus to see your child's progress and attendance? If not, please email your child's Advisory teacher so we can help!
- Treasure Run: NP3's 2nd Annual K-12 Treasure Run is Wed Sep 19! NP3 MS's goal is to raise $3,000 for two additional Chromebook carts - this will get us closer to our 1-to-1 tech-per-student goal! Last year we were able to meet our goal and we are pumped to meet it again! If we meet our goal, students will also be given TWO FREE DRESS days! We ask that each class show their spirit by dressing in their class colors; 6th/orange, 7th/white and 8th/black. All donations/money should be turned into Advisory teachers. Get excited! See attachment for details.
