The pilgrims sailed on the Mayflower to new land with intensions of going to a already established colony in Virginia. They got blown off course by the swooping winds and landed in Plymouth instead. Unfortunately it was winter when they landed. The pilgrims were harshly surviving. A couple years later they had built some ships and houses. Ships were for whaling importing and exporting.
