From the Principal
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! The building has been buzzing with bulletin boards going up, students being enrolled, teachers getting their classrooms ready, and finishing up cleaning. We are so excited to see our students again and to welcome our new students and incoming Kindergarten students.
For those of you that don't know me, my name is Julie Paige. I am the Principal at Monroe Elementary. This is my 2nd year as the principal. I'm so excited to be at Monroe. This is my 16th year in the JA District. I was a classroom teacher then took 10 years off when I had my son. I returned back to the district as a classroom teacher then transitioned to literacy coaching and then the Dean of Students at Plain City Elementary.
I live in Plain City with my husband, Grant and our 19 year old son, Alec. There is a picture of us below. I also have two step children: Justine and Zach. They are older and have already moved out of the house. I grew up in Plain City and graduated from Jonathan Alder along with my sister and my parents. Fun fact: My grandpa's graduation picture is hanging up in the Monroe Elementary hallway.
I am very committed to creating a positive culture at Monroe Elementary. I want the students, parents, and staff to enjoy coming to Monroe. Please reach out to me with any questions or anything that I can do to help make your child's experience at Monroe to a great one.
I look forward to partnering with you!
