Kindergarten, as always, has been busy!

From making homemade dough ornaments (pictured left) to some after school reindeer creativity (center picture) to enjoying the fun of the season (pictured right), kindergarten students happily practice all those small muscle exercises, like cutting, pasting and painting, that are so important in their developmental process!

Early Explorers!

Students in Mrs. Graham's Early Explorers 3-year-old class at RCS enjoy spending special school time with their mommies! Parents are invited to school on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. They participate in child-led play, read to their children, and attend workshops with Mrs. Gross, our school social worker. With their little Explorers, parents attend Music class led by Ms. Bofinger and Occupational Therapy Enrichment with Mrs. Braun. Then, after a final snack, this whirlwind learning time is over, but those Explorers will be back the next day for some more fun! Check out Facebook today for more pictures of our wonderful children and their moms!

5th grade Reader's Theater

On December 3, the 5th grade Ripley Scholars presented their Reader's Theater scripts to parents, friends, and other students and teachers at RCS. The 5th graders recently completed a unit on Human Rights and read a book called Esperanza Rising. The scripts were written by the students themselves and were based on the book read in class. The students worked diligently and even added props to their performances! Great work 5th grade for demonstrating grit when working on these performances!!
