Central Tiger Tales
A Leader in Me School - December 2020
A Message From Your Principal
Dear Central Families,
This year when the fall holiday season approached, Leighton Batts, 1st grade student in Mrs. Mitchell’s class, shared that she would like to have a “food drive for Thanksgiving”. Leighton’s idea and vision (Habit #2 in action) sparked the help and support of her Central classmates! The Shalom House received generous donations of food as Leighton’s vision became a reality. The Shalom House was very appreciative of the donations and encouraged our Central Tiger Cubs to “keep up the intentional acts of kindness in our Lebanon community!”
But the work of our Central students did not end with that project! When the month of December arrived, our Student Lighthouse Team was ready to begin planning for their annual philanthropic project to support Lebanon families during the holiday season. Our Tiger Cubs put their heads together and learned they had to be creative and synergize their planning efforts to make a few adjustments due to COVID procedures.
Our Central staff are very proud of our Central Tiger Cubs who have care and compassion for others and are learning what it means to be a servant leader. Thank you to our Central Family for the generous contributions that have allowed our children to see acts of kindness in action this holiday season.
From our Central Staff, we wish you a wonderful holiday season! Stay safe and healthy and we will look forward to seeing our Tiger Cubs in 2021!
Happy Holidays!
