Panther News
March 20th
Dear Le Monde Families,
As we continue to move through uncharted territory, I wanted to keep you up with the latest information regarding school closures. As of now, school will be closed until April 6th. No instruction, grading, or student related activities are to take place over these two weeks. Staff has been instructed they cannot assign work, but they can share educational resources to help families trying to homeschool during this period.
After April 6th, if the school site stays closed, we will prepare to serve children through an online format unless the state declares something different. I have added documents in this newsletter that contain resources for you to use during the two-week hiatus. I have also included a message from our new librarian, and information regarding food service from Sodexo.
Lastly, as I have mentioned in my last couple of newsletters, I ask everyone to stay calm, stay home and commit ourselves to practicing good hygiene habits. For more information from the CDC https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html.
Sincerely,
Lance Seeright

Library
In all the craziness that has taken place over the last two weeks, I forgot to inform everyone that we have a new librarian, Ms. Maria Kindel. Mrs. McAdams, our previous librarian, had the opportunity to move to Arizona to serve as the Executive Director of her hometown library. We wish her the best of luck and look forward to Ms Kindel getting our library up and running to provide services during these last two months of school.
The following is a message from Ms. Kindel:
For the next two weeks I will be working diligently (while ensuring health safety protocols are taken) to get our school library ready for check-out procedures. In the meantime, there are some great resources available online from our Pioneer Library System. Even though our Public Libraries are currently closed, they have an amazing amount of books and links available to help occupy and entertain your minds.
Don't have a public library card? No problem! You can apply online and then use it shortly after.
The link copy of the Pioneer Library System's homepage, including links to all of their menu options, and some great links for virtual vacations -just scroll down!
Feel free to have your students write a review on a book they have read or listened to, or create a post-card from their virtual vacation experience to send me! I will include pictures and synopses received in my next email. - Mrs. Maria K, librarian
