6th Grade Outdoor School Adventures!
Sixth graders had an opportunity to sample the Outdoor School experience at DCD this week. Group leaders from the MESD worked with our 6th graders to participate in activities such as active games that were able to help them learn about adaptations and competition in ecosystems, they worked in many stations observing things about plants and animals. To name a few- seed dispersal, invasive species and the scientific method. They used a strategy called: "I noticed, I wonder". The weather was beautiful for most of the time and students had a chance to experience science in new ways.
