General Reminders:

Back to School Nights for Grades 1 -6

Back to School Nights are scheduled for Wednesday, 8/31 for grades 1-3 and Wednesday, 9/7 for grades 4-6. We will meet in the gym for a welcome and information session with Mrs. Fantaskey, followed by homeroom presentations. PEN and Learning Support teachers have reached out to families with their specific schedules, too. We are looking forward to seeing you all on the next two Wednesdays.

Laptop Fees for Grades 3-6

The fee for students in grades 3-6 will be $15. MyPaymentsPlus opened on August 15th. There is no fee for grades K-2.

Free & Reduced Lunch Applications

Eligible families are strongly encouraged to apply for Free & Reduced lunch status. The information in this newsletter will help walk you through the process. Lunches are no longer free for all students. If you believe you may be eligible and have not completed the application, please do so as soon as possible.

Student Information Update for 2022-2023

Please be sure to update the Student Information Section on the parent portal. This must be completed each year for ALL students. Updating this emergency form ensures that we can contact you and that you will receive emails and important communications from the school and district. Please update as soon as you can! CBSD Announcement on 8/25/22

Dear Parents/Guardians,

CBSD is currently accepting applications for Free & Reduced Lunch. Students who qualify for the Free and Reduced School Meals Program may also qualify for a variety of needs-based assistance based on their program eligibility. Federal law requires the family’s consent before Central Bucks School District can use or share eligibility status for purposes other than the provision of free or reduced lunch. This information will only be shared if you consent to help provide needs-based assistance to your student that may be beneficial to your family. Your decision to share or not share this information will not in any way affect your eligibility status for the Free and Reduced School Meals Program; it is completely optional.

If your student(s) qualifies for the Free and Reduced School Meals Program, you will receive a notification of a document that needs your attention in the Parent Portal. The Free/Reduced Lunch Information Sharing Consent Form requests permission to use the eligibility status to qualify for various needs-based assistance and programming. You may consent for all areas listed below, decline consent to all areas, or provide partial consent. See the link below for instructions to complete this consent form.

Thank you to former Soaring Eagle, Carter Philo, for receiving a grant from Bowman's Hill for over 100 Pennsylvania Native Wildflowers and created a beautiful Doyle Native Garden. Carter has worked all summer to bring the garden to life! He has even had caterpillars and Monarch butterflies live on the Milkweed already which is exciting news! We are thrilled that Doyle students will now be able to visit the garden during the school day and learn about native plants and their importance today. Thank you, Carter, for your vision and for giving back to Doyle. Our students are so lucky to have this amazing garden to enjoy for years to come!
