Welcome New CTAE Instructors!
Helpful Hints and Information
Create an Edmodo Account
We will utilize Edmodo as a collaboration tool and a source for obtaining course schedules during the course set-up process. If you have not created an Edmodo account, you will need to do so in order to access the course schedules for the class you have been assigned fall semester.
Click here to access the Georgia Virtual Learning (GaVL) Edmodo page. If you have created an account using the GaVL school code, you have completed the first step of the process. You will need to join the CTAE/Electives Group to gain access to the course schedules. The CTAE/Electives Group code is wnyd8w.
If you have not created a GaVL Edmodo account, you will need to sign up by clicking on the "I am a teacher" button. Enter the following school code.

Helpful Resource
The Teacher Forum provides valuable information including detailed information that will aid you in setting up your course for fall. You can gain access to the forum by changing your role from Teacher to Student after you have logged in to D2L.
You will also discover templates via the Current School Year section (Page 5) that can be used in communicating with students, parents, and constructing the presentation for your welcome synchronous session.

Fall Faculty Meeting
If you did not get a chance to attend the July 16, faculty meeting, click here to access a recording of the meeting.
Course Rosters
If you have not done so, access your course roster to determine how many students have registered for your course. I have attached a document that provide details on accessing your course roster in D2L. If your class does not appear, no enrollment in the course has occurred. Continue to check your course through September 16.
Click on the Georgia Virtual School reference to access the Teacher Portal option.
Active Term may be reflected as the default. You can also click on the down arrow to select Fall 2013.
Apply this step to obtain a list of students, student demographics, parent contact information, and facilitator details.
