5th & 6th Grade Help Clean & Learn Healthy Habits
Our 5th and 6th grade students partnered with Janet Smith, our Mineral County Montana Tobacco Use Prevention Program Coordinator, Anna Schreck, our Mineral County Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist, and Eric Lindauer from the Sheriff's Department, to clean up the park and skate park while also talking about healthy habits. A small group of these students have been working with Mrs. Kuhl and Janet learning about how vaping effects our bodies. The students have hung up posters in the school to help spread the awareness of the harmful effects of vaping. While picking up trash, time was also taken to talk about how to keep our bodies healthy! We would like to thank Janet, Anna, and Eric for helping our students make a difference in our community!
Earth Day Celebration
Kindergarten through second grades celebrated Earth Day by participating in different stations at the school. The stations were a scavenger hunt, helping clean in the garden areas, and building bird feeders.

Kindergarten Field Trip
The kindergarten students took a field trip that took them to different places in Superior. They first visited the library where they were able to take part in the weekly story time, they then visited the park for lunch, moved on to the recycling center, and lastly went out to the transfer station at Lozeau! They were even able to climb up in the dumb truck to view the camera!
