Principal's Message
We ended January on such a positive note. Fammatre students wholeheartedly participated in the Fammatre 5 Days of Kindness Challenge. I loved hearing the stories of students leaving kind notes for their family members, making thank you posters for teachers and essential workers, and the many creative ways they were kind to others and the earth. A special thank you to our 4th and 5th grade student leaders who helped plan out and inspire so many acts of kindness: Gabe S., Jackie CB., Evey B., Jacob H., Sammy B., and Andrew E. What a great team effort!
February has started off strong with many exciting and important learning opportunities. It is Black History Month, Monday was the 100th day of school and Tuesday was Groundhog's Day. There is a lot of ground to cover in this short month, but I can see that our students are up to the challenge.
Home and School Club launched Valentine Grams this past week as well. What a lovely way for students and families to stay connected and let your friends or loved ones know you are thinking about them. Here is the link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050c4fabaa2aa2f85-falcon

US Department of Agriculture Extends Free Meal Programs for the Entire School Year
Free brown bag meals are available for pickup at Price Middle School, Monday through Friday from 11 am-1 pm. Daily service provides lunch for that day and breakfast for the following day. Friday service also provides breakfast and lunch for Saturday and Sunday and breakfast for Monday. These meals are free to every child aged 18 and younger. You do not need to show any ID and children do not need to be present to receive meals.
Applications to apply for subsidized meal programs are available online at https://family.titank12.com. These applications not only provide access to much-needed benefits for our families; they also serve as a data point used to generate additional revenues we rely on as a District. For this reason, we encourage all of our families to complete the application process even if they may not elect to participate in the meal program. This will ensure we are maximizing our revenue opportunities which will allow us to continue offering excellent educational programs that make us Cambrian. We look forward to continuing to serve our students and provide an important home to school link for our students.

Cambrian Students Need Your Support
Due to chronic state underfunding, declining enrollment, and the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cambrian School District is facing a budget deficit. Since early 2019, the District has been assessing potential district-owned land development opportunities to create additional on-going, annual revenue to sustain our award-winning programs.
You can help PROTECT STUDENT PROGRAMS by supporting the "Support Our Students" land development initiative. Thirty seconds of your time can help generate hundreds of thousands of dollars in ongoing, annual revenue without increasing taxes in the community. Click here to sign a letter of support and to learn more.
Have a question? Please contact former Cambrian School District parent, Eve Walton, at SOSCambrianSchoolDistrict@gmail.com.
