Virtual Coffee with Principal Donnelly
Coffee with the Principal is an opportunity to hear about school-related topics and ask questions. We will post any information that comes up during the Coffee on our Eagle Newsletter for those who cannot make it.
School Site Council
Each public school has a School Site Council that is comprised of the principal, school personnel, parents, and at the secondary level, students.
The purpose of the Council is to review school goals based on school data and allocate the funds necessary to support the goals. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents who are interested in learning about the systems and strategies that support our children’s education.
The Council meets approximately five to six times a year. Our first three meetings of the year will be October 7, October 21, and November 4 from 3pm - 4pm via Zoom.
Currently, we have three (3) parent positions open for a two-year term. This is an elected position. If you are interested in serving on Mesa Verde’s School Site Council, please email school assistant principal, Dennis Panganiban at dpanganiban@powayusd.com by Monday, September 28, 2020 at 4pm. You will be asked to provide a short statement (50-100 words) for the ballot.
No Place For Hate
Do you want to make a difference at MVMS? We need your voice!
The MVMS No Place for Hate committee is looking for 3-4 student leaders from each grade level to attend monthly meetings, create lessons and activities for our school, and represent anti-bias and anti-bullying on campus. Please submit an application using this link by Wednesday, Sept. 30th.
No Place for Hate is a national program through the Anti-Defamation League. Mesa Verde MS has been a certified NP4H school for the past 2 years. The goal of NP4H is to inspire a movement of students and educators to use positive peer influence to build inclusive, respectful, and safe schools for all students to thrive.
