  • Tensions are high, I get that. And you're probably feeling more than ever the difference between Shanna and myself. Let's see if we can finish the year strong and on a positive note. Remember, too, that if you have questions or concerns about anything, please see me (or call or drop an email)--oh, and telling Sheryl does not constitute as telling me about something.

  • We had an excellent cardiac response drill on Friday with the AED showing up within 50 seconds of the all call. Please know that if a team member (Matt, Nora, Heidi, or Linda) responds to an emergency, they may send students to the nearest classroom, unexpectedly. We appreciate everyone for their flexibility.

  • Teacher Evals - Teacher evals will begin on Thursday, May 26. Dust off that annual goal form, speak to the goals you had established, answer the reflective questions, bring evidence of the descriptors you were working on (for most people, that was 2 descriptors in both domains 1 and 2, all of 3 and 4), and don't forget to include a brief synopsis of the past 2 years' data. Refer to the descriptors in the annual teacher eval tool -- that will be your guide. Also have your contributions and relevant training ready to go. We can talk more at Thursday's faculty meeting about what to

    expect, if you have questions.

  • The fair is looking for volunteers. Keep reading, if interested: The Manchester Fair dates are June 21-25, 2016 and this year we are coordinating with the ChadTough Foundation to raise money for research of childhood cancers. If you are not familiar with the ChadTough Foundation, you can click on this link:www.chadtough.org.

We have two big events planned during the fair that will be our primary events to raise money for this cause. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the ChadTough Foundation on behalf of the Manchester Community Fair and all of the volunteers. We will be having a Car Smash to see who can put the biggest dent in a car with a hammer as well as a dunk tank. We are looking for volunteers for both of these events and have broken it down into 1 hour time slots. Two volunteers are needed for the car smash at each time slot and three volunteers for the dunk tank. We realize the summer is approaching very quickly and summer vacations may already be planned, but if you could give us just 1 hour of time to help raise money for the ChadTough Foundation, you would be making a huge difference in not only the community but to also those affected by childhood cancers. I have already reached out to several coaches and their players within the school system but with everyone’s very busy schedules,

hard to get a commitment. Keep in mind that this isn’t limited to just those within the school system or the community, anyone can volunteer. We are asking that you sign up via the online signup form to help us determine when more volunteers are needed. ChadTough

will also be for sale during the fair. Those that are volunteering, will be able to purchase the shirts early for only $10. By wearing this shirt the day that you have volunteered, it will get you into the fair for FREE.

    Below is the online
