Introducing a new Member to our FPCS Family

Our school is growing. With the increased enrollment for the 2016-17 school year we want to make sure that we are able to maintain the highest level of services to our sponsor families and students.

It's spring and that means State Assessments are coming. We recognize that it takes a lot of effort to coordinate schedules and we do appreciate your efforts to get your students to the testing site (ASD Ed. Center on Northern Lights Blvd.). Family Partnership would love to see our participation rates for the State Mandated Assessment (PEAKS) above 95% this year.

In recognition of your efforts to help us put our best foot forward, FPCS will be offering a $200.00 allotment increase to students in grades 3-10 who participate in the all sections of the PEAKS assessment for their grade level for the 2017/18 school year. This will apply only to currently enrolled FPCS students who participate in the assessment. The $200.00 increase will be added to your student's 2017/18 allotment upon re-enrollment.

Your sponsor teacher should be reaching out to you in the next few days to sign your students up for test sessions.

Each year the Family Partnership Academic Policy Committee (APC) conducts an annual survey of parents. Our mission is to foster high academic achievement through a partnership with all members of our school community, including our parents.

We know your time is valuable, so we kept the number of survey questions to a minimum (only 9 this year). Your input is valued and greatly appreciated.

2017 FPCS National Honor Society Induction Ceremony & Dessert Auction Fundraiser

Please join us for this wonderful event. Monday March 27th from 6:30-8:00 pm at the BP Energy Center. The dessert auction will begin at 6:30 pm and the Ceremony will begin at 7:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you there!

FPCS Science Fair (March 2nd)

Please be sure to send in an entry form for each student entering a project! They are available by emailing alley_kay@fpcs.net OR pick one up in the FPCS office.

The day of the Fair:

Students set up their projects beginning at 9:00 am (or upon arrival). Judges will interview students by grade level**:

6th and 7th grades 9:30 am - 10:45 am

5th and 8th grades 10:45 am - 12:00 pm

1st thru 4th grades 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

** Students may also schedule an alternate time for convenience. All enteries should be taken home at the end of the day unless arrangements are made with teachers.

Volunteers needed - for the following jobs, if interested please contact Kay Alley at (907) 830 2833.

  • Set up: 9:00 to 9:45 am - to help students place their projects
  • Snack management: 2:00 pm, 2 people to set out water, arrange snacks
  • Clean up: 3:50 to approx. 4:30 - take down projects, clean snack table, vacuum
  • Bring snacks for Open House
  • Judging projects - at least 3 people for each hour of judging. Judges interview students. Training provided!
