Curriculum, Data & Assessment News
Keeping you "in the know!"
Happy New Year! Let's start the year off right by acknowledging the work from our amazing teachers!
Data Days a Success Across the District
Initiating a data protocol specific to MTSS, interventionists and teachers were able to share observations and data to discuss student growth. Below are pictures of our Allen and Dieterich teachers in action. Way to go, everyone!
Winter MAP Testing
A Few Notes for Winter MAP
-Remember there is a Student Tool Bar that will appear for the test questions. The Student Tool Bar was a new feature this school year.
-If you teach K-2, please make sure to check the language of the MAP Reading test so that it is accurate for all of your students, especially if you teach in a split classroom.
-It is helpful for the students to have scratch paper for the MAP test.
-The sloth will appear if a student is answering questions too quickly. Remember that you will need to click the button on your screen acknowledging that the student needs to slow down.
-Having a conversation with your students about trying their best for the MAP test may help their focus and concentration.
We are excited to see the growth of your children. Please reach out to your building principal if you have any questions or concerns before the MAP test begins. Thank you for everything that you do for our kids!
