June 14, 2020
Dear Shuksan Families,
What a year! We all wish we could have closed the year with in-person celebrations and goodbyes. Please stay tuned throughout the Summer as the district will communicate specifics about how school will resume in the Fall.
Thank you for your partnership in making the best of a challenging situation. I hope you have a healthy, peaceful summer.
Best wishes,
Matt
Shuksan Principal
Mucha suerte,
Matt

8th Grade Celebration! Wednesday June 17
As this year draws to a close, Shuksan staff has planned some special ways to celebrate our 2024 class that includes some special deliveries and a recorded ceremony.
We are following the lead of the High School Graduation limitations, and therefore will not be able to do any in person honors or recognition, and while we would love to celebrate with our kids, we hold the safety of our community and school in the highest regard.
We will send out our virtual celebration on Wednesday, June 17. Thank you for the past three years of love and support for this very special class!

In Search Of: WEB Mentors (Current 7th Graders!)
Attention all current 7th graders (about to be 8th graders): Creating a sense of belonging will be even more important next year for our 6th graders who ended their elementary careers away from school.
If you would like to be part of something special and important, and if you are kind and care about others, watch this video and learn about WEB. WEB is a great way to form connections, learn new skills, and have fun.
After watching the video, if you are interested, email erin.meese@bellinghamschools.org. Very important to know is that you do not have to be in WEB Extended Learning in order to be a WEB mentor. There are many ways to participate.
