We could use your skills to create a drape for the table holding our brand-new salmon rearing tank (just across from the Main Office). All materials will be supplied - just your skills are requested! Please contact Vanessa Tuttle at vanessatut@hotmail.com if you can help out.

JR PTA is looking for volunteers to be Raft Captains (the JRE equivalent of room parents). We are hoping to have 1-2 parents per class. We need raft captains specifically for these classes:

1. (first grade) Thomas and Ganaway
2. (second grade) Clement
3. (third grade) Hashmi and Clemons
4. (fourth grade) Osborn / Helm-McLeod

Like otters who wrap themselves in kelp to stay together, raft captains will build community by connecting gradeband and class families to the school and to each other. This may include planning gradeband playdates, organizing around Staff Appreciation week, recruiting chaperones for class field trips, and supporting other teacher requests.
