Keepin' it Wheel

This Week
The theme of the week was transportation! Activities included counting train cars, using dot markers on boats, washing cars with toothbrushes and soap, drawing with cars, cutting lines on a rocket, and discussing which vehicles we find in the air, on land, or in the water. On Tuesday, we learned about Groundhog's Day and moved our groundhogs up and down out of their holes, then traced groundhog shapes. We celebrated Ms. Nicole's birthday with our friends from Room 14, and handprinted a congratulatory banner for Ms. Jillian (who is about to have her baby!).
During P.E., we took turns riding scooter boards forwards and backwards, then we jumped in pairs on the parachute. At speech, we practiced following directions with Wheels on the Bus props, identified and named big/little transportation vehicles, and played fishing fun with colored cars. On the playground, we made lego trains, played duck duck goose, and passed the big blue ball around in a triangle. We enjoyed the train station dramatic play area with our friends from Room 4.
We had another new student start this week - welcome Harper!!
