VIRTUE OF SELF-CONTROL
We encourage parents to discuss the monthly Virtues with their children.
This month we will be celebrating the virtue of Self-Control.
Like a city breached, without walls, is one who lacks self-control. (Prov. 25:28).
God wants us to do what we know and feel is right.
From the perspective of the Catholic Graduate
Expectations, a person with self-control...
*Has a positive, confident sense of self and others.
*Adapts to situations in light of the common good.
*Thinks reflectively to solve problems.
*Applies effective communication, decision-making, problem-solving & resource management
skills.
*Reflects on personal values, abilities and
aspirations.
*Participates in leisure and fitness activities for a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
Please join us at our Virtue Assembly on Self-Control on: Tuesday, January 28, 2020.

FOOD REMINDERS
We would like to remind parents that there are a number of students in the school with life threatening allergies to nut products. Please don't send in any food that might contain such products. In this regard, we also ask that food items (donuts, cakes …) not be sent in for birthday celebrations.
Lunches are to be left on the table in the hallway outside the office by 12:00 p.m. Remind your child this his/her lunch is being dropped off, so that they have enough time to eat before being dismissed for Lunch Recess at 12:20 p.m. Parents are reminded not to open the door for other visitors.
WELLNESS @ STM
Parents are asked to remind their child/ren to use good hand hygiene and cough etiquette, to minimize the spread of germs during cold and flu season.
Good hand washing procedures, as well as other preventative measures, can be found at the Peel Health website:

*If your child is feeling ill and not well enough to go outdoors, it would be best for you to keep your child at home.*
