The head waters are in Blowing Rock,Nc and the mouth is located in Winyah Bay,SC.

The basin has about 5,826 miles of streams and rivers in the basin. There is about 7,221 miles in the basin in total.

How many people live in this basin?

The population of the river basin is around 1.6 million.

Describe the river basin.

The river basin has major tributaries. Those two being the Mitchell and the Ararat. The river basin also has major chain lakes. The first one being the biggest which is High Rock and the oldest one being Badin. The watershed in the river basin is half forrest land.

For the point source pollution we can treat the water and make it cleaner and for the non-point source polluiton we can minimize catamination of surface water.
