D103 News
Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103 - May 22, 2020
Farewell Parade, Summer School, and Last Day Instructions
Good Afternoon D103 Families,
As we begin to wind down the school year we would like to thank you for your partnership during this most unusual school year and provide you with information regarding our end of year events.
Farewell Parade
Let’s celebrate! We have received permission from the Village of Lincolnshire to host a farewell parade! The parade will consist of teachers lining up along the road of each school's designated parade route and parents driving their cars slowly down the street as we all wave goodbye. Please do not stop along the parade route or allow anyone to get out of the car. The Parade Flyer will provide you with times and route details.
Materials Pick Up and Drop Off
On June 11 and 12, 2020, the district will have all of your child's personal items packed and ready for pick up. You will be sent more detailed procedural information from the building principal. When you arrive to pick up your child’s items, please plan to return any school items you have at home, with the exception of your child’s iPad (fourth-grade will return their iPad), unless you know that you are not returning to D103 in the fall because you are moving to another school district. Students in grades 1-3 and 5-7 will keep their iPads over the summer. Items to return to school include textbooks, library books, school-owned musical instruments, and uniforms.
Lunch Account Balances
Lunch Account Balances for eighth-graders will be transferred to younger siblings. If the eighth-grader has no siblings in D103, Quest will refund the balance and a check will be mailed to the student's family by July. For all other D103 students with lunch account balances, the funds will be rolled over to the next school year unless otherwise specified. For questions, please contact Quest@d103.org
Parent Survey
The D103 administrative team will distribute two Remote Learning Parent Surveys. The first Remote Learning survey has been created and will be analyzed by ECRA, an analytical firm the district has partnered with to provide a third party review of Remote Learning. The purpose of this survey is intended to provide high level feedback about stakeholder perception during this period of Remote Learning. A follow up survey will be sent to parents in June to obtain feedback on the day to day process of our Remote Learning plan. The ECRA Survey will be open for responses until June 2, 2020. Please use the access code: 98H$D to access the ECRA Survey.
