COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT CHILD CARE CENTERS AND THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT
Over the next few weeks, I will share helpful information on Inclusion programs as they relate to early child care. Because we work in a public agency as school district employees, its important to understand some laws and regulations we must adhere to as apart of serving our community.
Feel free to ask any questions.
Teacher to Child Ratios per Title 22
This week you are invited to learn more about teacher to child ratios. PLEASE NOTE: ratios change depending if the class is operating under Title 22, which complies only with Community Care Licensing, or when the class is operating under Title 5 regulations which apply to State Funded classes only. Please see chart on differences in regulations.
Feel free to ask clarifying questions as this can be confusing.
Creative Curriculum Fall 2020!
Sharing a recent update. Our team will not only have a 2 day training in August on our new curriculum as mentioned last week. Additionally, we will now be receiving 2 extra days of training offered throughout the school year for a total of 4 days of professional development days in total!!!! Days, times, and location of trainings will be provided at a later time.
Thank you again, Mrs. Berke, former CC author and CEO. The Coronado Preschool team looks forward to working with you!
Staff Evaluations
This is week you can examine the final area in which you will be evaluated. After this week, our evaluation period will begin. I will schedule times to meet with everyone beginning Monday March 16.
Late Start Thursday 3/19
The Preschool Program will be participating in the final late start Thursday, March 19. On this morning, we will have a brief presentation on How To Support Children with Behavioral Intervention & Supports starting promptly @ 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. Following the overview, we will use the final 45 minutes of the morning to work on our QPI goals before returning to the classrooms/sites. The location will be in Ms. Eileen's classroom at Crown. Crown Extended Care will resume as normal. If you are not participating in QPI, you may be asked to cover for any students that come to preschool from 8:15 - 10:00 a.m. I am happy to offer this presentation on another day after-work if you are interested in participating but are unable to join us this morning.
