Transformation Takes Time
Thank you for your patience as we improve the Media Center! There's still more work to be done, but we're excited about our library's makeover. And while we're embracing the chaos, we're also looking forward to reaching the other end of chaos eventually :) If you have ANY suggestions for how we can continue to update our space, please complete the form below.
Witness the changes in our classroom
August
Our Circulation Desk was moved in front of the Staff Development Room to increase visibility.
September
We gained new carpet, some collaborative furniture, and mobile bookshelves.
October
Most of our books are on the shelves and we are weeding older books from the collection.
Good News: We Received a Matching eBook Grant
Help us select titles to add to our Capstone Interactive Library! We have access to Capstone's entire eBook collection for a limited time. Click here for the trial login information. Submit your eBook requests in the Google form below by Nov. 30th.
Teen Read Week Celebration
We kicked off Teen Read Week this month with a few festive activities to encourage MHS students to "Read for the fun of it." Using Learn, daily announcements, displays, and Twitter, we communicated the opportunities in which all students could participate. By far, the most popular activity was the voting for the Teens' Top Ten books, of which our library had half.
Happy Reading!
