About 97% of US kids and teens 12-17 years of age bought $11.7 billion of violence related video games in 2008. 10 of the top 20 best selling video games were violence related in the US also in 2008. School shootings, increase in bullying, and violence towards woman were blamed on violent video games. As more and more violent video games are developed so may the increase in related violence.
