Yeomen Newsletter November 2022
Principal's Message...
The month of November is a special one for me. Of course, we have the Thanksgiving Holiday to celebrate, but more importantly, Veteran's Day. As a Veteran, I am extremely proud of serving my country. Leadership is servanthood, and there is no better way to lead than serving this great country. I express my deep appreciation and gratitude to my brothers and sisters for their selfless service and sacrifice. Thank you for your service, and to our Vietnam Veterans, welcome home.
What are you thankful for? Who are you thankful for? Why are you thankful? All questions we ask ourselves around this time of year. I want to take this opportunity to express how grateful I feel to be part of such a special community of teachers, staff, parents, and learners. It is a true gift to work among such talented faculty, staff and students.
Congratulations to our Student of the Month recipients and to their parents. It is a huge achievement to be named. Continue down the same path and good things are bound to happen! Parents, please continue to talk with your students about appropriate bus behavior and overall behavior in school. We expect students to make mistakes, but violent behaviors and verbal attacks will not be tolerated. Please make sure your students are respectful, responsible and ready to learn!

STEM 5 Celebrates Great Behavior with an Engineering Challenge!
That's right! What better way to celebrate great behavior during the month of October than with a "Pumpkin Chuckin" catapult challenge?! Teams had to purchase supplies to build a structure that would launch their candy pumpkin onto a large pumpkin bulls-eye poster. The farther the distance, the more points earned. Lots of intense thinking, lots of Halloween-themed fun!
