Lane Intermediate School will be hosting our second annual Multicultural Fair. An invitation is being extended to parents and guardians to participate with your child(ren) and house a table representing your culture. Many parents participated with their children last year making for awesome memories! Here are some details about this year’s fair:
Date of Event: Friday, May 17, 2019 1 to 3 pm.
Location: Lane Intermediate School/1300 S. 109th St. West Allis, WI 53214
Ethnic food samples are permissible but need to be labeled with all ingredients. Please NO NUTS OF ANY KIND AT THE FAIR OR IN ANY FOOD SAMPLES.
Any cultural artifacts, food, displays, flags, music, art, posters, dance, educational information, cultural dress, and the like would be welcome.
Tables will be set up in our auxiliary gym with representatives housing a table. Students will be able to walk through the gym and stop and talk to the representatives, sample food, play games, and learn.
Lane has approximately 530 students total in grades 6,7, 8.
The theme of Lane's Multicultural Fair is WE ARE ONE WORLD.
Would you please participate? Please call or email me. We want to make this a wonderful event for our students as they grow and learn about culture. Thank you in advance.
Note: Sixth grade students in Global Cultures classes (Ms. Calderon & Ms. Gillitzer) will be participating in the fair through projects assigned in Global Cultures.

Community Rummage Sale
The music department is kicking off our spring fundraiser with Yankee Candles. These fundraisers help us get bigger ticket items, like the 3 trombones band purchased this year. Last year, we fundraised $2900 and our goal this year is $3500.
I will be placing a catalog and order form in the lounge, please take a look and help support these musicians! If online orders shipped directly to you is more your style, here is the link to our online store.
