Family photoshoots: A luxury?
15 of our families participated in a voluntary photoshoot where they took the time to experience and receive copies of their very own family photoshoot.
Not only did each of them participate with smiles on their faces, they also showed the joy and beauty that is present in each of us. It was a wonderful opportunity to help create and capture memorable experiences which they otherwise may not get.
Here are some of their heartening family shots!

Wise beyond her age
Our P2 friend is interested in politics. When asked by a staff on which leader she likes, she said that she does not like any leader because they start war and people don’t want war. We were blown away by her maturity and awareness!
Of course she is still a child at heart and we were reminded of that by her drawing of one of her teachers. Check it out:
Celebrating Wins
They rushed to the centre excitedly to update us that they had won medals and remembered to bring it the next day to show us too .We love celebrating their milestones and achievements!
Reach For The Stars
The name for our inaugural Race For The Stars event was is inspired by one of our key programmes, Reach For The Stars.
Through this empowering programme, students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are keen and talented in areas such as music, arts and crafts and sports are sponsored to attend lessons at established schools.
While enrichment lessons over the weekends or after school are the norm for many, our children may not get the opportunity to pursue their interests. Through this programme, we hope they will reach their best potential and may use these passions to pursue a career in the future. Some may even use their portfolios to attain Direct School Admission (DSA) to Secondary Schools.
If you wish to support us in providing these opportunities, head on over to https://www.giving.sg/childrens-wishing.../reachforthestars to donate!
If you wish to sponsor a specific child and pay for their fee, write in to us at info@wishingwell.org.sg to find out more. All donations go directly to paying their fee and we do not take any cut. Hear from one of our talented girls in the programme:
Be our star advocate: Registration Extended!
The fight to end inequality is a long and hard one, but the first step lies in raising awareness and sparking conversations.
We have extended registration for our race until 18 September 2022. The aim of the event is to raise awareness about poverty and inequality in Singapore as well as about Children's Wishing Well. Everyone is welcome to join and all you have to do is make a minimum donation of $20 when you submit the registration form.
From there, sit back and wait for your race shoelaces as well as info sheet which will be mailed to you. There are 3 reflection questions on the info sheet and we encourage you to post your responses to any of these questions online with the hashtag #Raceforthestars22.
For every 5km,10km or 15km clocked in a single session, redeem small tokens to remember us by. For more information, head on over to our social media or website. For every $20 donated, our children have been folding paper stars. Keep the donations coming!
