Nurse Notes ~ Ms. Finegan

With a rise in COVID-19 cases and the start of flu season, it is very important to be vigilant about your family's health! Here are some things you can do:

1. Have everyone in your family get the flu shot!

2. Get plenty of sleep! Children should get 9-12 hours each night.

3. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables.

4. Bundle up and go outside on walks or runs! Children need 60 minutes of exercise EACH day.

5. WASH your hands, WEAR your mask, and WATCH your distance!

IMPORTANT: Please do not send your child to school with any illness symptoms (including a runny nose or congestion). Call the nurse, Ms. Finegan at 847-844-4224, and she will work with you to determine when it is safe for your child to return in person!

For health questions contact Nurse Finegan at 847-844-4224, tfinegan@barrington220.org.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) ~ Mr. De La Mora, Assistant Principal

Hello Sunny Hill Families,

As shared in last month’s Newsletter, we have been developing a Distance Learning Matrix for our Positive Actions Within Sunny Hill (PAWS) program. I am happy to announce that the Matrix is ready to be shared: click here to access. The Matrix includes school expectations for all students; and will continue to be addressed by teachers and students during distance learning.

Also, please keep an eye out for our Daily Announcements, where we will be providing examples of ways to follow our Sunny Hill 3 Be’s: Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be Safe. Thank you for your help; and remember that I am here to help you and our students be successful in school. Please do not hesitate to contact me at (847) 426-4232 or via email at edelamora@barrington220.org.
