District proposes restoration of non-homestead tax rate on May 4

The West Bloomfield School District Board of Education has unanimously approved placing a 2.0 mill non-homestead millage restoration proposal on the May 4th ballot. All registered voters living in the West Bloomfield School District can vote on this proposal.

The proposal seeks to restore the school district’s non-homestead millage to the level

originally approved by voters in 2014. If the May 4th millage proposal is approved,

there will be no change in taxes on primary residences. (The non-homestead millage

applies primarily to businesses, vacant land, rental properties and second homes. It

does NOT apply to the home in which a resident lives.)

Letter to Absentee Voters

In all school elections, every vote is important. That is certainly the case on May 4. Please plan to vote at the polls on May 4 between 7 am and 8 pm or any time after March 20 by absentee ballot.
