Make your janggay nails before Lesson 2!
Dear Families,
On IPSunday, October 17, 2021 the dance class (Sayaw) will learn the fundamentals of the graceful steps of “Pangalay.”
“Pangalay” is originally from the Sulu provinces of Jolo and Tawi-Tawi (the Southern tip of Mindanao). Both male and female perform this style as a solo number or a group dance.
A fun craft project is to make “janggay” nails before we meet. It is an accessory to wear for Pangalay. It is NOT a requirement- but the use of the janggay props makes it look exotic!
Have fun and see you At IPSunday, fun day!
