From the Principal's Desk
January 31
Greetings FWAFA Family,
We have a lot to celebrate this week! After 4 grueling rounds, competing against students from all over the STATE, Vincent Kaltenrieder has been selected to join the premier Texas All-State Boys Choir! Only the top 7 from each area were selected. This is a tremendous achievement and we are so proud of Vincent for his hard work!
In addition, the results for the Scholastic National Art and Writing Competition are in. Please congratulate Emma Howell, Sincere Jones, and Anna Tabor for their art work.
Congratulations also go to Silvia Ho, Julian Morales, and Sarah Howell for their honors in the Stage West playwriting contest.
Lastly, in the event of inclement weather later in the week, watch our FWAFA Facebook page, check our website, and look for a Jupiter Ed email from me either Wednesday night or Thursday morning by 5:30 a.m.
Lots of new information to share. See below!
Creatively yours,
Dr. Jackson

A Texas Center for Arts + Academics Signature Performance, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is FWAFA's High School Musical. From the creators of Jesus Christ Superstar, comes one of the most popular musicals of the last 50 years. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a musical comedy with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, based on the character of Joseph from the Bible's Book of Genesis.
Joseph -- the favorite son of Jacob -- is blessed with vivid dreams that foretell the future. Sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, Joseph endures a series of adventures which challenge him to his core.
A timeless Old Testament tale, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is set to a multitude of musical genres, spanning from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock and roll. This year, the Children's Choir of Texas will join our high school cast to help tell this timeless story!
We are also excited to announce that on Saturday, February 26th we will have an American Sign Language interpreter present to ensure that our friends in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community are also able to enjoy this amazing FWAFA show!
