Principal's Report
It has been wonderful to have many of our parents at school and involved in the students learning this week.
On Wednesday and Thursday we had our second set of parent/ teacher interviews for the year. This was a wonderful opportunity for parents and teachers to connect and discuss the students learning. Thank you to all the parents who were able to come in for these meetings. Please remember that parents are welcome to come in and catch up about their children's learning at any stage. If you would like to meet with your child's teacher to discuss any concerns, share celebrations or monitor the progress of goals, please contact the teacher directly, or ring the school office to arrange a suitable time.
On Thursday a large number of BPS students participated in the rippa tournament. It was very exciting to have this event go ahead after so many COVID related cancellations over the last year. A huge thank you to the large number of parents who helped coach and manage our teams, or came along to support our players.
This weekend our school community has a huge weekend ahead with a large number of cheese rolls to make for our Whānau and School fundraiser. Thank you to everyone who has offered to come and help over the weekend. If you haven't put your name down but would like to help, you are very welcome! Our Whānau and School are a marvellous support for the school and every student benefits from the funds they raise. Thank you to everyone who is able to help.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Ngā mihi nui,
Vicki Neave.

· Bring your favourite spreading knife (named)
· Bring a plastic chopping board (also named)
· Bring a water bottle, snacks and lunch
· Potentially, you could be on your feet for a long period of time so wear comfortable clothing and footwear
· It is best to leave children at home if possible, especially young ones. Older children might be able to help out as runners.

Rippa Rugby
Thank you to everyone who was involved in the Rippa Rugby Tournament that was held yesterday. It was a cold but great day and the kids all had a blast! The sportsmanship from BPS was amazing. I am very proud of everyone for trying their hardest, winning or losing. It was great to see the players step up and show the true culture of BPS. What a great place to be a part of.
