Today we will begin our mini unit on persuasive writing using the Oreo strategy.

Tuesday 5/10

We will spend our Language Arts time today working with the 5th grade to prepare for our Boat Making Activity!

Wednesday 5/11

We will not have Language Arts today because of our Yom Hazikaron Ceremony.

Thursday 5/12

You will need your agenda, pencil, and binder.

Homework: Complete your Oreo Brainstorming Activity.

2. Begin Brainstorming


Students will begin class by developing persuasive arguments for different topics. Students will then brainstorm their positions on the prompt, "A book is always better than its movie adaptation".

Friday 5/13

You will need your agenda, pencil, and computer.

Homework: Enjoy Space Camp!

1. Writing Time


Students will spend time writing a persuasive essay that responds to the prompt, "A book is always better than its movie adaptation". The writing will be due at the end of class.
